Must be at least 17.

Must hold a valid provisional licence.

Must comply with the conditions of the driving licence.

Certain medical conditions must be reported to the DVLA

Must be able to read a new style number
plate at 20 metres or an old style number
plate at 20.5 metres. If you need glasses to
read a number plate, you must wear them
while driving

Must be properly insured to drive.

Must be accompanied by someone over 21 years of age who has held a full driving licence for at least3 years.
Must be legally roadworthy

Must display a valid road tax disc for that vehicle

Must display "L" plates clearly front and rear while you are practicing. ("L" plates must be removed when a full licence holder is driving.)
